Gregory Tarr Participates in the 2020 Polynesian Bowl

Some of our Tarr Financial family is in Hawaii this week for Saturday’s Polynesian Bowl All-Star Game. Gregory Tarr, Jr., Romeo High School stand out long snapper and University of Michigan commit, earned a spot for this year’s bowl game. Greg is the only Michigan representative at the 2020 Polynesian Bowl.

The bowl features the country’s top high school football players, who come together to celebrate the Polynesian culture and play the game they love. Legendary College coaches Steve Spurrier and Frank Beemer head this year’s teams. The Polynesian Bowl is held annually during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week.

The game is broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network, but you’ll have to stay up late or set the recorder. 7 pm is the start time… local Hawaii time. That’s midnight for all of us stuck in the snowy midwest. While practicing this week at Aloha stadium in preparation for the game, Gregory has also had time to be introduced to the Polynesian culture and visit the Shiners Hospital in Honolulu.

Family friends Aaron and Tara Horne and Taylor Brynaert also made the trip to support him during this exciting opportunity. Aaron and Taylor also coached Greg at Romeo High School.
